21 for September – Motorcycle Awareness Month
From Monday 21 August until the end of October, ACC will be running a number of motorcycle initiatives and events across the country in celebration of Motorcycle Awareness Month.
Motorcycle Awareness Month is all about raising awareness of the new riding season and that with more riders on the road, the risks increase.
This year there are two local events to celebrate Motorcycle Awareness Month.
- Image Motorcycles, Sat, 2nd Sept 9-2pm – Collection of interesting & rare motorcycles on display, Father’s Day gifts, free coffee, vouchers for delicious Kai from surf & turf, KSS display stand. Motorcycle trainer available to discuss course options for all riding levels. A perfect weekend for father’s day.
- Honda Hub, Sat, 23rd Sept 9-12pm – motorcycle maintenance checks, delicious Kai, prizes and giveaways, motorcycle trainers on site to discuss course options for all riding levels.
We know from research that riders are 21 times more likely than car drivers to be killed or injured on our roads. This needs to change. So, this year we’re asking riders to support MAM by doing their 21 for September.
21 for September aims to prepare riders for the upcoming riding season by giving them a checklist of 21 simple things they can do to get themselves ride ready.
